Last I checked, Double Dragon was an arcade game; therefore, I'd expect any game with that title to be a port of the arcade.  The GG version may be a version of Double Dragon but that arcade version it is not.  My vote, thus, goes to the Lynx.  ;)

Yeah easily the Lynx version, a good port, the Game Gear version looks nothing like the arcade one, as someone said its looks closer to Streets of Rage!

These games are so different from each other that it is hard to compare them.  So, I guess choice is a matter of personal taste.  I prefer the bright graphics on the Lynx version and how the games are displayed, so my vote goes for the Lynx.  The GG version is not without its charm, though.  I like how you see the hand putting the coins in the slot machine.  :)

Yeah I agree the Lynx version is much brighter looking and more colorful as well which is the way a casino should look so it gets my vote.

Well seen as I have no more videos for games that were on both machines I thought it would be fun to look at more games that are similar on both consoles.

So first up it's Checkered Flag (Lynx) Vs. Super Monaco GP (Game Gear)

The games are close enough to be comparable.  I like Checkered Flag more.  That speech "Gentlemen, start your engines" is just fantastic and there are more cars and varied backgrounds/surroundings on it.

Checkered Flag has music which is good but graphically I like Super Monaco better, especially the cars so the Game Gear gets my vote.

My thoughts as well, whilst Monaco looks decent enough, the Lynx game seems to offer more variety and seems touch more polished, presentation wise-Speech is superb touch.

They both look like good games. Nice that each handheld has a good racer.

Two good looking games! Does Space Harrier play that good on the real handheld?

I personally think it's pretty poor, especially the big blocks round the sprites and flicker.
